Becoming a Freelancer

Freelancing introduced me to a completely different side of digital work.

It was no longer enough to know how to design. I had to communicate with clients, understand unclear ideas, work with deadlines, solve problems, handle revisions, present my work, and learn how to sell the value behind what I create.

That journey also pushed me to take my professional presence more seriously. Today, I document parts of my work and professional journey through LinkedIn, while sharing some of the creative work and projects I'm building through Instagram.

Freelancing platforms also became part of that journey. I continue to work with clients through Fiverr, particularly around website design and Wix Studio development.

Building Spetratech

Eventually, my individual work started becoming something bigger.

I began developing Spetratech as a digital brand focused on web design, development, branding, and digital solutions.

I didn't want Spetratech to become another agency that simply says, "We build websites."

I wanted the work to start with a business problem.

What does the business need? Where are potential customers getting stuck? What should the website communicate? What could be automated? And what should happen after someone fills out a form, makes an inquiry, or books an appointment?

Those questions increasingly shaped the way I approach projects.

Why I Started Looking Beyond Websites

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that many businesses don't actually have a website problem.

They have a business system problem.

A beautiful website can still lose potential customers if nobody responds to inquiries quickly. A business can generate leads but fail to follow up. A service provider can receive calls while working with another customer and miss an opportunity.

That's why I've become increasingly interested in the relationship between websites and automation.

My work now explores the space between web design, development, user experience, and automation — the same direction I'm continuing to develop through Spetratech.

I also share some of that experimentation and behind-the-scenes work through the Spetratech Facebook page.

The Kind of Websites I Want to Build

I'm particularly interested in businesses that depend on their online presence to generate customers.

For these businesses, a website should do more than display a logo, phone number, and list of services.

It should answer important questions quickly: Who are you? What do you do? Can I trust you? Why should I choose you? What should I do next?

That's why I focus heavily on structure, messaging, user experience, mobile responsiveness, visual hierarchy, and conversion.

When I work on a Wix Studio project, for example, I don't want the technology to become the focus. The platform is simply a tool for delivering the experience the business actually needs.

That's also why I offer Wix Studio and Figma-to-Wix Studio services on Fiverr.

From Freelancer to Builder

My long-term goal goes beyond freelancing.

I want to build companies. I want to create digital products. I want to experiment with ideas that solve real problems. And I want to build technology that can exist beyond my own personal time and effort.

That means I'm constantly learning, testing, documenting, and improving.

Some of that journey happens through client work. Some happens through Spetratech. And some happens simply by sharing what I'm learning with people who follow the journey online.

I'm still building.

And that's an important part of my story.

I take on a limited number of projects at a time — happy to talk through what you're building.
