Have you ever Googled yourself? My thoughts on this!

This evening, I was watching this Reel from School of Hard Knocks, and I found out that the founder of Calendly (a booking software used by 50.39% of people in the United States) was actually from Nigeria.

Guess what I did next?

I went straight to Google to search, Who is the founder of Calendly? I got my answers, but I was still curious, so I searched again: Who is Tope Awotona?

It was then that something sparked inside me, and I asked, Can anyone search for just, I mean, just my name, Israel Gabriel, and find me in the first three rows on the first page of search engines?

Then I realized visibility is key to building trust and landing brand partnerships.

LinkedIn is becoming, if not already, the #1 platform for visibility when it comes to searching for names on search engines.

My curiosity grew more stronger and you won't believe this: I even went ahead to search for Blossom Affia and was shocked by what I saw.

Hey, wait!!! I know you're thinking, But Israel, I've landed clients even without an online presence or clients asking for my name.

Yes, you're absolutely correct!

If you're looking to build credibility in the online space, it goes beyond one-on-one conversations or just DM chats. Like, have you ever had a client mention your name, for instance, @spetratech in their post, and you felt like, Um, that's me!?

I bet you their followers will definitely want to take a look at your profile to know who you are.

SO THAT'S ALL I GOT FOR TODAY.

DROP YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS — IF I'M RIGHT OR WRONG?
